We are pleased to inform you that your Landlord has enrolled your property in the Evictly Shield program. Evictly is an Ontario-wide management representative firm that works collaboratively with LandlordEzy.ca to monitor rental payment performance and administrative compliance.

HOW THIS BENEFITS YOU:
As part of this program, your on-time rent payments are now reported monthly to Equifax. This is a significant benefit designed to help you build a strong credit history simply by paying your rent on time. Good standing in this system will positively impact your credit score and your future rental applications.

LATE PAYMENTS & ENFORCEMENT:
If your rent is paid in full and on time, no further action is required and your file will reflect perfect standing. However, please be advised that should a rent payment be missed, the Evictly Shield converts into an active enforcement matter. Late payments are reported to Equifax and will be visible to future landlords during screening processes via the LandlordEzy network.

In the event of non-payment, formal LTB notices will be issued and our full legal enforcement packages will commence on behalf of the landlord. We encourage you to maintain your current good standing to ensure your credit remains protected.

Avoid the Transition to Enforcement

The "Shield" is a protective layer. If you fall behind, the shield is removed and active legal enforcement begins. An LTB eviction order is a public record that can stay with you for years, making it difficult to secure quality housing in the future.

How to Maintain Good Standing

  • 1 Pay on Time: Ensure your rent reaches your landlord on or before the 1st of the month.
  • 2 Watch Your Credit: Monitor your Equifax report to see your positive rent history grow.
  • 3 Communicate: If you expect a delay, contact your management team immediately before the file is escalated.
